The Legend of the 33rd Sage - Chapter 24

Chapter 24 - The Lightness of Being

The young prince had been coming to the Forest of K'an for almost two years and his paintings were becoming renowned throughout the kingdom. The sage had noticed in the last couple of months, that as his fame grew, so also did the young man's arrogance. It seemed that whenever they spoke the prince thought he knew more about everything than the sage. The sage did not judge the arrogance, but he did wonder what was underneath; for he knew that arrogance often came out of fear.

It was no longer appropriate for him to tell the young man what to do, for he had come to that point in the teachings when it was important for the prince to take control of his own teaching and to open up to his Higher Self. The sage knew that could never happen while he was arrogant; for to be able to connect with the Higher Self you needed a lightness of being, with the ego no longer blocking the way.

What was the sage to do?

In the end he left it to the Tao to handle; for he knew that by opening to the wisdom of the Tao, an opportunity would arise from which they both could grow.
It was late summer when the Tao sent forward them the opportunity. The sage would welcome the opportunity; he understood that his life was alway about new beginnings. I cannot say the same for the Prince who was now resisting any new experiences or any new teachings. He thought because he could see the life in things through his painting, he had reached the ultimate teaching, but that was merely his ego, which had become comfortable with the recognition it was receiving.

This day the prince wanted to go deeper in the forest to paint.
The sage could feel in an inner part of himself that it was not a good idea, for the weather, the heat and the wind were giving him signs that were not positive. He tried to talk the young prince out of going on, what he knew would be foolhardy, but the prince would hear none of it and ordered the sage to come with him.
In the end the sage agreed, 'It would be as it would be," he thought to himself.
They were deep in the woods and the prince was congratulating himself on capturing the essence of the forest in his painting. He had even painted himself into the picture and against the Taoist tradition his portrait took up more than a third of the landscape. His arrogance was getting more and more out of control.

The sage heard a crackling sound and immediately knew that his element, the element of fire was very active. For a moment he drew deep within himself, fearing his own  lack of balance had drawn the fire to them, just like it had done to his parents in the past. He need not have worried. When he went deep within, all he saw was the smiling and proud faces of his parents. He nodded to them and then came back into the outer world. By this time the crackling had become louder and the smell of smoke surrounded them.
He looked to the prince who seemed oblivious to what was happening. He called out to him and got no response. He called louder and still nothing. He struck the young man across the back with his walking stick. The young prince turned with a look of anger on his face, the like of which the sage had never seen. Heng was about to strike the sage when he smelt the smoke and heard the flames which had almost reached them. His anger turned to fear and he started to tremble.

The sage surveyed the area and could see they were surrounded by a ring of fire. They only had seconds to make a decision as the fire rushed towards them.
"Let's make a run for it," said the prince his fears clouding his thinking.
The sage touched him gently on the arm but you would think he had been stuck by a spear; so much energy had been transferred to him. The prince took a deep breath and began to relax. He could still see no way out, but at least he was back in control of his mind.

The sage went deep within and he could see them walking through the fire, not one lick of the flame touching their bodies. The sage knew with his conscious mind it was impossible and his ego was already telling him that he was mad and would die in the flames. He turned to the prince. "We have to close our eyes and walk through the flames. If we align to the element of fire then we will not be killed by it or because of it."
"Your mad," said the prince, "If we close our eyes and walk through the fire we will surely die."

"If you can let go of your fear of death and embrace life. If you can respect the elements and become the element of fire then you will be safe. Trust me."

The young prince did not know what to believe, was this a trick by the sage to punish him or was it a plan that had been hatched by someone who wanted his throne. All manner of thoughts passed through his mind; they were all fears, fear of death, fear of loss and the fear of being burnt. Just as his mind was about to go into overwhelm he took a deep breath and stilled himself for a moment. The sage had never harmed him; in fact everything the sage had done for him had only increased in him the person he was becoming. It wasn't the sage that was trying to trick him, it was his own ego.
He did as the sage suggested. He closed his eyes and imagined becoming one with the element of fire. At first nothing happened, but when he gave thanks to the fire for its teaching everything began to change. He could see himself becoming the fire, not as an intellectual exercise; he could feel the element of fire rising up from within him. He knew in that moment that the fire would not hurt him. With his eyes still closed he reached out and took the hand of the sage and walked into the flames.

He could feel the warmth of the fire brush his face as he moved through the flames. Twenty meters further on and he experienced a whisp of cooler air caress his cheeks. He opened his eyes to see they had gone beyond the fire. He looked down at his clothes and apart from one small burnt patch, neither his clothes or his body had been burnt in the fire.

He looked into the eyes of the sage, "I am sorry that I let my ego take control of me. I had forgotten for a moment that you were a gift from the Tao; a gift that the Tao could have just as easily taken away from me." Heng hugged the old sage. It was the hug of one friend for another; they had become for the first time equals. It was a defining moment in the young prince's life; the moment when his ego was no longer in charge. He was now free to become the person he was destined to become.

The Legend of the 33rd Sage - Chapter 19

Chapter 19 - The Eternal Power

After twelve months, one full cycle of the seasons, the carriage arrived as normal. The Emperor's son rushed out of the carriage and over to Huo who was waiting outside his house. He went straight to Huo and wrapped his arms around the Sage's neck and gave him a hug. Looking from the carriage the Emperor's wife Empress Li was shocked at the informality.  Stepping down from the carriage she was about to make a comment when she recognized that Huo was the young man who had saved the life of her son years before. Any thought of punishment or reprimand fell away as she knew that her son was in the safest of hands.

The boy rushed into the old house to get his writing implements to start his days study, not even caring to say goodbye to his mother.

Huo smiled and gave a short bow to the Empress.
"It should me bowing to you," she said, "For not only did you save the life of my son Heng, but now you are teaching him things I could only dream about. In the year he has been coming to you he has come back a calmer and kinder person."
"The boy has done all the work himself empress, I have been there only to guide him on his way. He has learnt very quickly to connect with his own inner power and when the day comes he will make a great leader."

The boy returned with his writing implements. "I am ready."
His excitement was palpable, which made the Empress and Huo both laugh.
"Heng, said the Empress, "Go and wait my son the sage will be with you in a moment."

The young boy walked the short distance to the Lake of Li and waited for the sage to appear. While he waited he practiced the martial art techniques that the sage had given him; techniques which were never meant to be used in anger, but techniques which would increase the connection to the boy's inner self and allow the power stored there to come up from within.

While he was waiting Huo and the Empress talked like old friends, discussing the training of her son, matters of the court and the beauty of nature. It was Huo who brought up the beauty of nature because he could see in the Empress a deep sadness and he hoped, looking at and talking about the beauty of the natural world would allow her some beauty in her own life.

The young sage sent a molecule into the Empress, not as an infringement, but to try an understand more about her sadness. He was not going to infringe by asking her directly, but if the beauty of nature allowed a space where she could open up to him then he would help her in anyway he could. He was going to teach her son about using his internal power, so it seemed only natural for the Tao to offer him an opportunity to practice connecting with his own inner power; so that he could speak from a sense of knowing.

When the molecule of feeling returned he could sense that there was trouble with the Emperor. What the trouble was he did not pry further. It was enough that she had difficulty. He turned slightly using only his peripheral vision and he could see that her aura was all over the place and it some areas it looked quite grimy and dark. He immediately sent her energy from within himself; not to fix her problem, but to offer extra energy for a moment to help her deal with it. He understood the wonderful energy of the Tao was not about pushing yourself onto others but allowing them a space to pull them towards you. Although the word pull was not correct; it was more that as your energy grew others were drawn to it.

The Empress sighed very deeply. A sigh so deep that it could be heard and felt by the animals and other beings in the forest. Huo looked around to see energy coming from the trees, plants, animals and unseen beings of the forest into the heart of the Empress.

Huo led the Empress next to an old tree and asked her to sit with her back against it. She gave him a confused look, but trusted him enough to follow his instructions.

The moment her back touched the tree she sensed a rush of energy race through her body and in a few seconds she was calmer and could see more clearly than she had in years.
The sage sat quietly with her as she allowed the tears to escape from her eyes. Next came the sobs as her heart opened to the energy it had received from the Forest of K'an. While her heart was open she could see the problems with the Emperor; they were nothing to do with his love for her which was as strong as ever. The problem lay in the Empire itself, for the Emperor had to decide whether to fight with the people of the north or agree to a peace pact, which would not only see his power diminished, but also cost his people financially.

The sage could see all this. He could also see both futures through his own inner feelings as each future had an energy to it. He sent the light of the Tao from his own heart directly into the heart of the Empress. She experienced another great rush of energy and in that moment she saw the answer to the Emperor's problems. She knew that she could not tell her husband what to do, but a women has ways of influencing that a man will never know. Being closer to the Tao a woman finds it easier to connect with her own inner power, the power to pull to you what you need.

Huo watched as her aura changed from dark and grimy to clear and tighter around her body. She no longer needed the power from him and the forest and these were withdrawn without a change in her energy. Her energy was no longer blocked and she was naturally drawing her energy from that place deep within where it is available for anyone who is open to it.

After a little encouragement from his wife to meditate on his problems the Emperor went within and visualized the problem, only to discover that it was not a problem but a greater opportunity for his people and the generations to come. By not going with the thoughts of the Ego, but by going deep into his inner-self he allowed his higher self to show him the opportunity that lay before him.

History may not be kind to him but his dynasty lasted over a thousand years and his people were well fed and well educated; he made changes only a wise man could have made, for he understood the power of non-action. A power that most men never get to understand, but a power of infinite energy.

The Elements and The Etheric

The Etheric

"The Emperor and the sage walked, and the Solstice came and the Emperor said, ‘I have learned much about people. I think that I can rule my empire in growth.’ As they walked toward the edge of the Forest of K'an, he said, ‘But sage, what happens when you know these things?’
‘Ah...that has shown you have learned,’ the sage said. ‘When you know how to conquer and work with loving self, when you know how to deal with those that are deep in emotion and they throw fear at you, judgment and anger and frustration; and you let them, and you are able to calm it within yourself. When you are able to allow your ministers to throw at you the logicalness and intricacies of, ‘this is the way you should do it’; and you are not a thinker. When you are able to understand the balance of the earth and plant and mineral and animal. When you are able not to feel the sexual energy overpowering you and the material causing you difficulty, then you become the fifth element, Ether. Then the etheric, or the positive dimension, forms.'
The Emperor asked, ‘What happens when one reaches that stage?’
“’Ah, come with me,’ said the sage. And he took his hand and they walked across the lake of Li into the waterfall and into the cavern and he took his hand and they walked across the Lake of Li into the waterfall and into the cavern. And there he showed him a dimension of people that saw all things in the positive mode, that were able to balance and not be involved in those things that he had taught, that understood the Winter, that understood the Spring, the Summer and the Fall. And who were able to walk equally through those and not be affected by them; who could learn all and know that they were not higher or lower, that they were in the dimension of the etheric. And who were able to see all that went on but were not able to be seen. He pointed to them saying, ‘These help you. There are some within your world. There are some working within this plane, in the positive mode, negativity not seeing them, not involving them within what they are doing; but they can see and feel it, yet do not become subjected by it.’
“The Emperor said, ‘I have heard many teachings. My ministers, my magicians and sages have told me I should go this way and that. What is the right way?’
And the sage said, ‘There is no one way. The only way is within self, with understanding the Winter, the Spring, the Summer and the Fall, the Nature of things. If an individual says, "My communication or what I am doing is better than yours," know that it isn't. For the individual that has good and sound teaching does not have to say that he does. Listen to those around you as they tell you. If they say theirs is right, know that you must step back.’
“The Emperor shook his head and said, ‘The dimension of ether... the etheric...’ “The sage said, ‘It is not hard, it is easy; it is as easy as walking from the Winter Solstice to the Equinox of the Spring, the Solstice of the Summer to the Equinox of the Fall.’ Then he left.
“The Emperor said, ‘Come with me to the palace. Be my teacher. Help me rule my people.’ Looking around, he said, ‘Old man, where have you gone? Old man, where are you?'
“And a voice said, ‘I am here. Why can't you see me?’

Elements part 17 - Water Transcript 1

Water Element Transcripts

Within your world, most Water Elements are female: seventy five percent plus are female. There is a reason for this, and if you are a Water Element female you automatically know that your inside is a positive force and your outside is negative. You know that you have this inner garden and it has deep inner beauty. It is a beautiful place for you to go, spiritually. The reason so many women are Water Element is because of that positive - negative energy, of the pulling together and the creating of strength. This is unique. Man does not have this but water does. Man dealing with this reacts differently as a Water Element than woman. We will deal with woman first.

The Water Element woman in her first fifteen days after spring is Water over Fire, meaning that they are dealing with emotions, dealing with expressing self, but have the ability to have the silence within, that strength within to go a little further. they do not react emotion as much. They are emphatic, loving, feminine woman that will very seldom cry. They are strong but they are centred around family. They are powerful and they have great inner beauty, but they have the ability to express their ability verbally; they have introvertish-extrovertish combination. Dealing with that, they need an extremely strong Fire Element male as their energy force, a Fire Element male that is the centre of the season. The reason for this is, in essence, to allow more energy to give their water the balance, but the male that is Fire over Water can also be a good balance with them. Within it, if they work together and develop a spiritual essence together and work as a team, they can have a good balance. The Fire/Earth male, to the Water female, has strength also; but he will be dealing with the material and the physiological, and the Water/Fire female will not want to be dealing with this. They will not want to be bothered materially or physiologically. They will want to be able to express their emotions stoically and with strength; not in the essence of softness, as a bud, but in the strength of a tree that comes forward powerfully, not with fear of not being loved or lovable.

Water Element reacting to the Earth: in dealing with the Earth Element they will, basically, have to be very withdrawn with their emotion, more so than with any other, not releasing it orally. They will have to be cautious in all areas, not overpowering in emotion and directing within their creativity, allowing them to be individualistic in the area that they are dealing with. The Earth Element, using their creativity, will have a tendency to be what you may call fanatical within cleanliness or within orderliness; and a Water Element may may be a little upset with that. Water dealing with an Earth Fire has a greater advantage, for the Fire can handle much of the emotion, will not withdraw all the way; and there can be a higher relationship there, a stronger ability. Of Earth/Air, great difficulty: should not be attempted, advised against.

The Water male is dealing in some cases as a positive-positive under the Water. In most cases, under the Earth. The Water male usually is coming forth from a last lifetime as a female and in most cases will deal with a lot of emotion and it's release; will deal with a lot of energy; will have great difficulty relating to a female Fire Element, because the female Fire Element will have a tendency to control their life, and they will not want to be controlled. But they will need that energy.

The Water male with a female Fire/Earth has the best advantage: they can release their emotion. It can be reacted to by Earth and by Fire, and they cane get the balances of both. However, the Water male can get along fairly well with an Air female. Within their emotion, the female has a tendency to be a little more relaxed and not as outward, fairly good aligning; but very seldom, for you have not many Water males and not many Air females and they are usually pulled to the opposite.

The Water/Water, in either way, you can imagine what you have: you have a Noah's flood. A Water/Water most catastrophic. If one is dealing with fear, the other has anger; if one has anger, the other has judgement; if one has judgement, the other has frustration. They are water, water all around them. They are usually pulled to the ocean, where there is more water and more emotion. Not a good alignment; very difficult, unless it is Water/Fire male and a complete Water female - possibility; or the other way around.

The Water male has the best alignment with the Earth female, for within their emotion the female's natural tendency is to absorb that, even though they are Earth; and there can be a rebalancing. The Water will be creative and warm and loving; the female Earth will want that loving physically, will have creativity, and so will Water male. Because they cannot have children and and will not be dealing with it, they will exceed in creativity, art form. Rembrandt was a Water male. Van Dyke was a Water male, and of course you all knew that the great artist Chou Li Nouk was a Water male - did some of the greatest paintings in China.

The totality of all these is that the Water female has beauty within family and expresses emotion and is clairsentient. The Water male is creative, artistic, has the ability of expressing; does not deal as much with clairsentience as with expressing their inner source as an art form, outwardly, rather than through someone else, as a  Water female does. The Water Element is the spring; is the beauty of the flowers; is the fertility. It is a time of creativity, of warmth and loving. Utilized in the highest sense, the Water Element can give a balance of unity, warmth, and loving to people that will be drawn to them from Earth, Air, and Fire because of their femininity, or their creativity as a male, and the strength within that.

Elements part 16 - Fire Transcript

Fire Transcript Continued

The Fire female can find a good match with a Fire male; and many times the communication, or the togetherness, will be a companionship but a very strong one, a very overpowering one, one that will get things done, no matter what stands before them. It will be one of dedication, one different from the Fire male and the Air female; but it will be one of love, mutual strength, and sexual energy. Dealing with a Fire male, the Fire female will have to learn to allow the energy to be a small bit brighter, even though they know they can be equally as bright. They will not be dealing with emotion so they have a tendency to be overpowering in groups. A very good alignment; but a Fire female dealing with a Fire male needs to project themselves a little softer, for they will be learning to be soft. The softer they become, the more powerful they will become and the stronger will be the relationship.

The Fire female dealing with a Water male will be difficult, for the Water male will try to be emotional, be in the emotion, but will be trying to be the male image. Where the Fire female has that image, the Water male will be usually dealing with the spiritual evolution. The Fire female will be dealing with a very positive, one minded evolution, and will usually direct the energy, even though she wants to have the support of the Water male. She will not usually be too spiritually involved through a Water male, even though he will be deeply spiritual; and she be deeply involved with him. The Fire female in dealing with that must learn that she must help the Water male in allowing and working with him in the spiritual attitude; for if they do not, the relationship cannot last. They cannot be directive, they must be supportive with the Water male. It must be a supporting relationship - they cannot be leaders; it must be supporting, it must be a team. But the Fire female has the tendency to be the leader, to direct, to say, 'This is where we must go.' They must learn to be supporting, to bring out the strength of the Water male.

The Fire female can get along fairly well with the Air male; in fact, they can be pulled strongly together. The Air male being intellectual, will need energy; and there can be a good strength, a mutual energy return. The only difficulty is that the sexual energies will not ever be too strong and will usually be children because it is the thing to do, not because it is a deep emotion. The Fire female pulled to the Air male can make a strength. If the Air male is getting into the metaphysical, then it can have a strength, for brings out the height of metaphysical teaching, which Air male can do in its highest form. If the Fire is pulled to that, it is the best match, for there will be mutual support and mutual strength. In dealing with that she will have to learn that the Air will have a tendency to be logical about his approach, while she will have a tendency to be very moving. There will have to be a compromise; that is a compromising marriage.

The Fire with an Earth male usually is where they are pulled. Fire looks for something that will, basically, allow them to use their strength, to be strong. They are pulled to an Earth male, who is physical. You will find that the Earth male in the physical form - that is, what you would call rough, a typical Earth male, very sexual, very energetic, very pushy - will pull the Fire female. The sadness is that it will usually not work. The Fire female dealing with an Earth male, who is creative in the art form, will usually help their creativity; but the Earth male will not need the Fire female after a while. So it is not a very good strength; but if they want to make it, the female must know that her energy can bring the creativity out; but they have to deal with the softness to help the sexual energy. They cannot deal with just a positive energy pushing forth.

The Fire Element female is extremely strong. Learning that the beauty they have within them is their greatest spiritual endeavour; learning to express this softly and warmly. The Fire male uses his energy to warm all the time, to be positive to them, accepting and listening.
The Fire Element, both male and female, in the spiritual highness, can use either a clear crystal or a rose crystal for their strength. They can use these other stones but not as high as the crystal - the diamond and all minerals or gems that deal with the darkness of reds.
The Fire male and female are very sexual. The males are very energetic in this way. If their energy is not being used, if they are not going forward, they will have a tendency to be pulled to a very sexual relationship, usually Earth, or a female in the water Element that is trying to understand their emotion. The same with the Fire male.

Musically, they are pulled to the music of the earth, of air, of water, not of fire. They need emotion within music. They need the strength of air, the baseness of earth. They need all three, but not the strength of fire. That only cause them a little more difficult to deal with. They should never deal with Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Stravinsky, most of the Russians, Khatchaturian. They should deal with Mozart, Beethoven, Handel: those, basically, that deal with the earth, which would be more modern in your world, what you would call 'country-western,' not what you would call 'soul' (Hermetic says: That is unusual, music call soul), because that deals specifically, with a high vibration Fire should be not dealing with. Jazz is not a good one either: more Earth Element.
Fire basically will be pulled in reading to those things that can relax them and take them away from their energy, not getting them involved in more energy. They will be travellers, they will be the strength to your world. The Fire Element is the light; but, used negatively, they are the darkness that you see daily.

In Old China, there was sage sitting under the plum tree in the dead of winter, with snow all around him, piled up above his knees. The student was walking hurriedly down the road, bundled heavily. He saw the sage sitting under the tree and he said, 'Your crazy. Why do you sit in snow under a tree that has no cover? Why do you not come into the village where it is warm?
The sage said, But I am warm; I have warmth. Feel my face.
The student touched his face and it was warm. He said, 'But come into the village. You will feel the warmth and their will be people. Why stay out here within the forest? The animals are asleep; the trees are asleep.'
Then the sage said, 'But the coldness is on the outside here. The coldness in the village is on the inside. I would prefer the warmth within and the coldness without.'
Peace….to you all.

Elements part 15 - Fire Transcript

Fire Transcript Continued

The Fire Element male dealing with a female deals best with the Water female. The reason for this is that the fire has a tendency to humidify, or to dry up water when it gets too deep; and water has a tendency to keep Fire from getting too brilliant. But in dealing with the male/female relationship, it is sometimes difficult, for the Fire Element will have difficulty feeling emotion and the Water female will be all emotion. There will be emotion in times when, logically, there should not be emotion; and the Fire will not understand that. So the Water female, in understanding this one point, can have strength with a Fire if, within the emotion, they do not try to manipulate him but use it as their release, so the Fire Element can see and react to it positively. Too much water puts out fire and it will withdraw. But if water is used correctly within himself, fire can then take its energy and use it. Secondly, a Fire Element dealing with a Water Element must also understand that the energy that is going to Water is sometimes misunderstood, because the energy is projecting outward. Because it is so strong, the Water dealing with emotion will have a tendency to blow it out of proportion and will say it is this, and this, and this… and it will sound like Armageddon when it is actually a birthday party! It is natural for energy against emotion to have that reaction. The Fire Element male dealing with a Water female must understand that, if they want to have a good balance, they must listen. The female Water will flow and flow and flow, if the male listens and, within the listening, will see and get the point. If they do not, there will be stagnation.
Dealing with a Water female, the Fire must learn listening and patience, which are hard, for they are movers; they are doers. A fire Element projecting to a Water must understand that the Water will pull from them at all days of day and night. Because Fire is what is, basically, called a strengthening, positive energy, when it is pulled away from the Water it will, in essence, react more than any other element. You can take fire away from the wind and the wind will not respond; or the air, as much as when it is taken from water; of from earth. Earth can hold warmth longer than water can hold warmth. Water needs to feel warmth at all times. The greatest difficulty comes because the Fire, needing the rest of the night, takes that time to withdraw; and it is at night that the Water Element has great difficulty. The Fire must know that if he wants his Water Element to be strong through the night, or through the darkness, that he should be with her just before the darkness so that she will relax through it. A water Element needs that energy.

A Fire projecting that will understand that, in dealing with the female Water Element, the combination can bring forward a strong partnership, a strong family. But the female will have a tendency to be very inward, within the family, very protective, as the Fire is the outer energy. The Water will always try to bring the Fire back, concerned about the family; and the Fire must know that and give the energy consistently. The Fire Element male in reacting to a Water female will, as a positive element in the face of a negative element, withdraw immediately. This is not only psychic protection; it is elemental protection. Because the Water female deals with the four elements of Water, or emotion - fear, judgment, anger, frustration, and the many other emotions (frustration, jealousy) and the elements that go within each of these - because Water deals with this, when they are deep in emotion, the Fire Element has a tendency to pull away, especially if that emotion is negatively projected to the Fire. The Fire is dealing with energy, the strongest energy within your world; and if the Water female is projecting negative energy, the Fire energy will withdraw. This will usually cause problems, for the Water female will want to know if they could have the Water rejuvenated by the Fire. We will talk of that next time. But the Fire must, basically, know this one thing: its energy is always needed, consistently and completely, within that element.

Fire to the Air female you do not find too often. they usually do not come together. When the air female is the scientist (you all know them) they spend more time indoors than they do out. They are the logical ones; they are the ones that think. Fire does not use them very often; and very seldom is there an energy pattern towards them. When there is, it is usually a marriage of convenience, and they are usually working together with very little sexual energy, very little emotion at all.

In Fire to Earth, the Earth female pulled to the Fire Element will, in essence, be a slave; but will be, in many ways, a good strength. They will do anything, go anywhere that the Fire Element wants. Their physicalness, their dealing, specifically, with the sexual and the material in the negativity, usually is a difficult thing for the Fire Element, for the Fire does not want to deal with money. The Earth Element, in not dealing with money or with the sexual desire, can cause the Fire Element not to be at their highest; but they will be drawn to them and there will be more of them pulled to them than can be imagined. They can have a strong relationship.

The Fire male dealing with the Earth female must understand that, in their strength, they have to be not too demanding, too energetic, or too moving; for the Earth female will want to be in one place as long as she can; sedentary. The fire male will be like the sun, all over the physical plane. Consequently, the Earth female and the Fire male work well together in business, or in energy patterns of that way; but dealing specifically as a mate, it usually is a very physical relationship, which has the tendency to drop the energy of the male. It raises the energy of the female and will make them more creative. The Fire energy living with this situation must understand that their energy can bring out creativity of the female Earth; and so, if they will concentrate it to help them stop beyond material and sexual energy, they will become creative energy. They will become artists. They will become great musicians, great dealers with the earth, with the animal, mineral, and plant kingdoms.

Elements part 14 - Fire Transcript

The Fire Element Transcript

The following transcript is of a channeling that was delivered by Old Chinese when he delivered the talks on the Elements. Over the next few weeks I want to share these with you as they will deepen your understanding of the Elements. This is Fire week; so over the next few days I will deliver the Fire transcript in three parts.

May the spirits of Fire be with you in this time. May they shine their light upon you and keep you warm on the inside.
The Fire Element is that individual who reincarnates into his body between the 21st December and the 21st March in the Northern Hemisphere. This individual has the ability to reincarnate into the body from conception to eight weeks after birth. The individual choosing this period of time is choosing a high strength Element, a power, as you can see. Of all the Fire Elements in your world, approximately seventy five percent of them are men; approximately twenty five percent women. We will deal with their spiritual growth.

A man basically growing within the Fire Element has one of two ways to go. There is no grey within the Fire Element. It is either, a strong, powerful, positive, projecting individual; or an individual that uses the fire in the negative element to bring chaos and ruin to all he touches. So the Fire Element can be the most fearful, especially within the male. But at the same time, it can be the most charismatic, for the amount of energy, used in the higher sense, brings warmth to all who come around them; brings an energy; brings the sun after a long fall. Water, Air and Earth are automatically pulled towards the Fire Element, either out of respect or out of deep fear; not ever out of nonchalance.

The Fire male, using the energy he has, can melt all negativity in front of him. He has the ability of the sun, or the burning fire within the winter, to melt, to heat, to warm, to bring strength. He has the ability to see not only the warmth within all things, but to humidify and to make water less flooding in its essence, to make the air or wind less terrifying and to bring things from the earth by its energy. Without Fire, without its energy, Water, Air and Earth could not survive. If, at this day, all Fire Elements were eliminated from your earth, you would have chaos.

The Fire male puts forth an energy, in the negative sense, that is equally as terrifying upon the opposite scale. Instead of basically projecting the Fire outward, they pull it into a depth that is within them. They create what has been known by the biblical and ancient wisdoms as Hades, Saliel; as in China, Chou Me Ong - the hell within. You go to Hades within, you go to hell, because it is within an individual. A positive Fire Element brings it out into the world and it is not within. It is salient for all to see. A negative Fire Element pushes it so deeply within that it becomes chaotic, masochistic and terrifying. it is equally strong because, within your world, people are pulled to fear; they are pulled to negativity. If you say, in a brief moment, 'Go down this street, there is a positive man talking of the beauty of spring; but go down that street and there is a man talking of death, killing' - there is a man talking of the negative. you will have a horde going to the negative and very few to the positive. Because of that one thing, the negative is powerful in your world, but never as powerful as the sun. And the weakest point of the negative Fire Element is at the Summer Solstice when, in essence, the sun is the highest and the moon the lowest. One of the reasons that it is said that things happen differently at the full moon is because the negative Fire Element uses the coldness of the light, the reflection of the sun as, in essence, their energy; and it manifest then. Positive Fire Elements get along well together if they have the equal balance of Water, Air and Earth working with them.

The female Fire Element has great difficulty in your world. She usually comes into this world to deal specifically with understanding her femininity because she is coming forth from a lifetime or lifetimes that have been extremely degrading to others. She is having to express her femininity in the hardest way. A positive Fire female becomes beauty as the sun, but soft. A negative Fire female becomes what you might call, in your words, the darkness on wheels: meaning, specifically, that the female negative element uses the energy in a more secretive way. Because of that, it is more terrifying and usually they will support a negative male element. But because there are so few of them, there are not usually too many problems.

The attributes of the strengths of the male Fire Element are that they are leaders, they have the strength of society. They have the rapport; they have the ability to lead; they have the ability, in war, or in peace. Dealing with the Fire Element male, you must know these things: at times, his energy is like the sun and can come so that it is over powering. His energy, his instance that things, basically, must continue to go, asking for no rest, is very tiring to those who need relaxation and rest. He usually does not need long hours of rest but consistently wants to pout the energy forth.

They will deal with people usually very curtly and very straight forwardly. If you say to a Fire Element, 'Am I doing the right thing?' They will usually say, No,' it is 'No.' If you say that to a Water Element, they will cry and probably in one way say, No,' in a long explanation of emotion. To an Air Element, they will try to explain it, in depth, why it is 'No,' and usually put you to sleep. An Earth Element will usually not know which way to go, or will not have the strength and will say, 'Wait a minute, while I consult someone else.' But a Fire Element will say, 'This is the way we are to go.' Sometimes, when they are doing this and are not in tune, they go where they should not go, too fast.

They interrelate very strongly, in the male energy, with other male Fire Elements, as long as there is a balance. If two male Fire Elements are to work together, there has to be at least two female Water Elements to balance it, or three Air Elements, or a whole legion of Earth Elements. It is because of the energy. the Fire Element male, basically, does not get along with the Water Element male. Not saying they cannot be friends but to work together is very difficult. Not that the Fire does not need that emotion, that softness to balance, that intuitive point, but the male Water Element, because of the masculinity, will have a tendency to be a little draining and the Fire Element will usually not deal with them. The Water male will usually turn into intellectual projection and the Fire Element does not like to get into intellectual games. The Air male can get along with a Fire Element male, if the Fire is a strong one; if he has the patience to listen to all the Air Element wants to say and then go ahead, no matter what has been said. The Air Element and the Fire male can have a deep relationship if there is mutual understanding that they are sounding boards for each other. The Fire Element and the Earth Element can work together. The Earth Element usually becomes attached, or a follower, or what you would call a very strong second person or supporter - a minister of creativity, for it is the Fire that will pull out the creativity of Earth.

A Fire Element dealing with the other males deals best with an Earth Element; secondly with an Air; third with a Water; and with a Fire Element last, because they are so much alike in energy. You have heard that in Old China many empires fell because there were many generals who The 33rd Sage is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book Depository, Watersons, Xlibris and a number of online book stores.

The Elements part 6 - Time to take a Breath

The Elements - Time to take a Breath

The sun was only starting to rise over the Lake of Li, in the Forest of Kan when the old sage prepared himself for the next lesson with his students. He had risen in the dark and walked through the forest. Now he was sitting on his favorite rock as he looked across the Lake of Li. It was a special place. There by the shoreline with sun beginning to rise it was as if all the Elements had joined together as one to give him this gift of beauty. He took off his shoes and dipped his feet in the water. The coldness rushed into him, but rather than be a shock it was a wonderful experience as the Element of water gave up more of its secrets.
His students had been excited about the teachings of the Elements, but it been Huo who had shown not only an eagerness to learn but an affinity with the Elements themselves. Whenever the old sage had given him a lesson he took time on his own in nature to digest what he had just learned and then would allow the seasons, silence and nature itself to increase what he had learned. He knew that he was a part of all things and by allowing himself to stay open he was able be one with everything.
I have now shared the first five parts of the teachings and it is time for the student to step back for a moment and review what they have learnt. For me, like the student in the story above, I always found that time spent meditating in nature or even a simple walk in the woods pondering on what I had learnt allowed more of the teaching to come from within. The more you open up to or in some cases surrender to the teaching of the Elements of Man the more they will reveal their secrets. I found when I first learnt the elements that the when I was at my most open, it was as if the Elements themselves conspired to give me a deeper teaching. I would have these amazing moments of synchronicity. I would be thinking about one of the Elements when the element itself would start to become active. I was wondering whether my thinking about the element and being open to its teaching had actually caused the event, although afterwards I would always decry what I had seen or experienced and say that it was just coincidence. That was until these coincidences kept happening again and again. Sometimes I think I am a bit slow or that my skeptical mind was too strong in those early days. Now I am clever enough to allow these synchronistic moments to just occur when they need to. For males it just always seems a bit harder to let go of trying to control life. The only real way to be in control is to give up the need to control and develop an openness to the life you are meant to live.
In a earlier blog I talked about the twelve disciplines of the initiate. If you have a moment open up that blog and have a look at the disciplines and choose one or two and have a play with them. If you are really keen or like me a touch obsessive, then do all of them in a rotation. If you follow these disciplines I will promise you two things. Firstly you will be constantly challenged by them. The day you are not meant to drive your car will be the day you will need it most. The day you don't watch television or other forms of electrical media will be the day when there is something that you desperately need to see. That is the downside, but it is not really a downside as you begin to see that we are trapped in our lives. These disciplines will in the end set you free. The wonderful upside is that you will begin to notice a little voice inside you, a voice that is your own, that will begin to express itself in mysterious and wonderful ways.
With regards the first few blogs of the Elements I hope by now you have begun to understand what a wonderful gift that is being offered to you. If you are willing to allow them the Elements of Man is a gift that will keep on giving for the rest of your life. Some people will have instantly seen their own or other people's Element. For others it is not so easy and it may seem difficult. The Fire Elements will already think they understand everything, but they need to be careful, as they can often only have a shallow perception of what is available.
At this stage all I would expect is that you would have developed some insight into what has been offered and are starting to see aspects of yourselves in the Elements. Each of us has a dominant Element, a secondary Element and aspects of the other two. Sometimes you will begin to get excited when you start to see the Elements in others and in this excitement you will want to share your wonderful insights. Don't! It is the one discipline that I want everyone to follow. Do not talk to anyone about the teachings unless they are also following them. This may sound a little cruel because some of you will want to share everything you know, but this teaching is one that grows from within. It is like a small bud trying to grow, expose it too quickly to others and it will shrivel up and die.
Give the Elements a month or better three months of this discipline and one day you will thank me for it. Remember the old sage asked the Emperor to be away from his people for a year. I am only asking you to be quiet about it for three months.

The Elements of Man Part 1

The 33rd Sage and the Elements Part 1

My spiritual life began in my late twenties, when I first met my old Chinese teacher. From that moment my inner spiritual life became my dominant life. Before I begin to share the Elements of Man I need to share a small part of my own story to put the teachings in context.

Most of the posts will be shorter than this one, but as with all things that matter patience and discipline are required. For those of the Fire persuasion that will be quite difficult as you always want the answer before you begin. My little joke to the Fire Elements amongst you.

I thought of doing video and or audio posts but this would prove impossible as over half my current audience is from non English speaking countries. So I will try to make it as enjoyable as possible while at the same time giving you enough information to allow the teaching of the Elements to grow magically and organically from within you.
"It was three days before the solstice and the sage must prepare him."

I surveyed the pale blotchy skin on the back of my left hand. I pinched it into little hills of flesh and watched them slowly collapse back. I looked up towards the receptionist. Her lips moved quickly, sharing a story on the telephone. I looked at my reflection in the glass-top coffee table. I didn’t like what I saw. Stroking my greying skin, I flapped my hand under my double chin. It wobbled in time with my sighs. My fingers reached up for the bags under both eyes. I pushed them up, but they dropped back in resignation. My eyes ached, their red streaks visible in the table’s reflection. I sighed deeply, closed my eyes and lay back, my head resting on the back of the couch.
“Mr. Spalding, Doctor will see you now.”
I shook my head, waking from a slight sleep. Groggy and confused I followed the receptionist into Dr Collins’ office.
Dr Collins sat in his black patent leather chair behind his large mahogany desk. He smiled, hands clasped behind his head. He was in his mid forties, his flecks of grey hair massaging his temples.
“How are you feeling?” he asked. His voice was soft, almost effeminate. His eyes were warmer than his smile.
I grunted, “Okay, I guess.” My shoulders dropped further with each word.
“No improvement on the new diet?”
“No, Doc.” I breathed deeply, my shoulders rising to their natural height. “Some days I wake up with a burst of energy, but it doesn’t last.” My shoulders drooped again, and the corners of my mouth dropped like unexpressed tears. “Why, Doc, why is it happening to me? One day I was fit, healthy and successful, everything to live for and the next I can barely walk to the toilet? Why? Why me? I did everything right. I dieted. I exercised. I took vitamins. I worked hard. I was good to everyone. Why me, Doc?”
Doctor Collins sat back in his chair, his palms opened out. “I don’t know, every test we have done has shown nothing. There is a hint of something viral left over, but other than that we are simply in the dark.” His hands turned over; he gently rapped on the table. “All we know is that you are allergic to at least 93 substances and it could be more.”

The front door of the clinic slammed behind me. I continued to look down, shoulders hunched, hands slack at my side. Walking to nowhere I began to replay pictures in my mind. I smiled weakly at the picture of myself crossing the finish line of the Melbourne Marathon, and then there was the picture of first place in the Horsham 10K. One after another I replayed pictures and relived the emotions of my many sporting and working victories.
“No more,” were the only words, which escaped from my lips.
The early winter wind ripped through my clothes. I shivered and pulled the collar of my jacket tightly around my throat.
I continued walking and thinking. I heard the voice of Doctor Collins in my head. “As I see it, you have two choices. Either you can go on as you are, but this will only lead to a further downward spiral in the foods you can eat. The other, the only real choice, is to spend a month in a bubble while we scientifically quantify the foods and chemicals you are allergic to.”
It was the best science had to offer. I was to become an experiment in reductionism, in the hope that they could rebuild the whole.
I was in deep shit and I knew it
I continued walking. My arms hanging limply by my sides, my shoulders pinched in an attempt to keep out the cold. More pictures began to invade my mind. I remembered that fateful Sunday morning when I rose for my weekly 32K run. I dressed quickly, taking a noisy swig of orange juice; for there was not time for breakfast: I’d laced up one of my many pairs of old Nike's and ran out the front door.
After a hundred meters I felt like shit.
Nothing unusual, I would be okay in another couple of kilometers, I assured myself, when I warmed up, or so I’d thought. No such luck; fifty meters further and I was doubled over, spilling last night’s vegetarian dinner in a heap on the side of the road.
I had walked and half crawled the 150 meters back to my home, where I spent the whole day in bed. Next day I could barely drive the 2 kilometers to work or walk the fifty meters from the car park to my office at the supermarket, where I was manager. I stayed in the office resting for an hour before I made a pathetic tour of the supermarket. Exhausted, I went back to the office and rested for another hour before I surfaced again. I struggled on like this for four days before; finally, my complete lethargy forced me to see a doctor.
That had been when the tests began and continued for the next eighteen months. I had become a human pincushion. And every time the results showed the same thing: nothing, or next to nothing. The traces showed something viral but not enough for them to be sure what the virus was.
I was passed from one doctor to another: an endless procession of wise men in white coats, with stethoscopes hanging around their necks. The final doctor I saw had seen recommended me to an allergy clinic, where the tests began again. At least, there had been no more blood tests. The tests they performed were to find what it was I was allergic to. The diet was depressing, but at least it seemed to be helping. That was, until my last bout of sickness. I had gone back to work and for two months everything had been going well: I was working too many hours and had even started running again. Then one morning I woke up and could barely make it to the shower. That had been two weeks ago and that was why the only choice I had left was the allergy bubble.
I saw in my mind a picture of myself in a bubble, sucking foods through a straw and having no contact with the outside world. My mind pictures were over dramatised but they at least took me away from the real world of exhaustion.
When I finally escaped the inner worlds of my mind, I stopped walking and looked around. I shook my head in disbelief. I had walked all the way from Richmond to the city. A distance of only a few kilometres, but given my current state, anything over a hundred meters was a bonus. Confused, I asked myself. “How could I have walked so far?”
There was more to this illness than the purely physical. I did not know what or how, but in that moment I sensed, in a deeper part of myself, that there was a way out of this debilitating disease and it had something to do with my mind. Given my current understanding of mind body medicine this was a quantum leap of universal proportions. We are talking about a man whose only reading consisted of books on athletics or marketing. My whole world had revolved around work and running. I was obsessed with becoming better. The better I became the harder I worked, the harder I trained. The illness brought all that to an end. The illness caused a crack in the person I thought I was and yet, at the same time, there was a hint, a small glimpse of something else.
It was then that I prayed for the first time. It was not an ‘our father who art in heaven,' sought of thing, it was more a stillness in my mind where I asked whatever was out there for help, help, plain and simple. I did not ask for any specifics. Then, within seconds, my mind was once again a jumble of the millions of thoughts that fought for my attention in the stillness.
A red flash appeared at the edge of my awareness. My head snapped back, only to discover it was a red dragon flapping above the entrance to a Chinese restaurant. My mind responded to the memories of food eaten in the past and I began to salivate.
I wanted Chinese food. ‘Fuck the allergies. What’s happening?’ I thought to myself. ‘I had been so careful to only eat what I was supposed to eat, for such a long time. What was I doing?’ I watched as my feet took my body through the doorway and under the Red Dragon.
Once inside the door, my shoulders raised and breath filled my lungs. I sniffed at the thousands of smells that filled the restaurant, smells I had denied myself. I sniffed through the smells, reacting to one spice laid on top of another. There was garlic, which usually made me sick, then lemon grass, then chili, and then I could not quite make out some of the other smells. I closed my eyes and took another deep breath.
The waiter led me to a table while I was still in a state of ecstasy. The part of me, which existed in the earthly consciousness, ordered a bottle of De Bortoli Chardonnay and mulled over the menu while the other part of me danced in the province of angels.
The waiter coughed gently, his hand in a fist in front of his mouth. I shook my head free from my revere. I looked up into the waiter’s smooth, creaseless face and smiled. A smile returned instantly, as if we were sharing a secret.

I did not have to wait long. Within a few days my prayers were answered when I was introduced to a man named G who ran a weight loss program mainly for women called the IFA which stood for "Improper Fat Accumulation". At a sickly 72kgs I did not need to lose any weight, but there was something about him that attracted me to his teaching. The program ran over a season, or about 13 weeks during which time there was a number of cleansings and detoxes, combined with mega doses of vitamins and minerals and a special diet. Within about six weeks my allergies had reduced dramatically and I was feeling better than I had in a number of years.
I was in the audience on one of the last days of the program when G asked a question that would change my life forever. "Would you like to look at a person and know them better than they know themselves; to be able to talk to them in their own language, to know their strengths and weaknesses and be able to their see their health and disease patterns now and into their future?" Although I was one of maybe a hundred in the audience I felt like he was talking directly to me. In that moment my life was changed. My life from that moment turned in a direction that even a few months before I would never have been able to even comprehend what was happening.

The Elements of Man

‘In Old China, The Emperor of the Fourth Dynasty of Chao did not know what to do. Around him was disagreement. No matter what he tried, his ministers could not get along with one another. They were always fighting. His wife and children he could not understand. The people he was told about, the royalty, the governors, and those of the provinces throughout China - many times there was difficulty understanding them. But specifically, he had difficulty learning what their strengths and weaknesses were. One minister told him that to be able to do this; he needed to have those that would spy secretly. Others told him that he needed a great magician or mystic that could sit and whisper into his ear if a person was telling the truth. Others said that he must be extremely harsh and strong and, no matter what was said, not rely on it. He was always to know that the words that came forward were not true. He did not know what to do.
‘Soon he walked within his garden, each evening; and as he would touch the leaves or sit beneath the tree or watch the birds fly, he wondered. The old sage of the forest of K'an had taught him, when he was younger, of nature. What had he said? His memory was old. It was so far away. He had once asked, `How do I know when a person is truthful?' What had the sage answered... what were his words? He could not remember. But as he sat beneath the tree he remembered that the sage had taught him these things. And so he rose, and walked to his most trusted minister, and said, `Go to the forest of K'an and bring back the sage. You will enter through dark trees. Go forth for one half day until you come to a lake, the lake of purification. Sit beside it until the sage comes to you.'
‘And so the minister went and he found the forest and went into it. He sat beside the lake and waited for the sage. As the sun was setting over the mountains, as the birds were beginning to quiet their day, as the insects were defying the silence, he felt a touch on his shoulder. `What can I do for you, messenger of the Emperor?'
‘The Emperor would like you to go to him. He has much trouble.' And so the old sage said, `Three days from this day the old sage will be in his garden, beneath the willow tree.' And so the minister went back to the Emperor. He told the Emperor what was said, and he was happy. Three days later he went to the tree and sat, and the sage appeared. They talked for many hours. And the sage said, `I cannot teach the way to do this in one night or two. Being a dictatorial ruler will not bring this wisdom. Mystics and magicians cannot. Spies will not. You must leave your court for one year.'
‘The Emperor said, `but I cannot.' And the sage said, `Let me tell you how you can.' And so they prepared. And the Emperor was told how he would begin each day for the next five days, to prepare his court for his leaving.
‘And so the routine was changed, and the Emperor would sit upon his throne and he would say, 'Listen. I will sit now.' And the ministers would come and talk; and he would wave them away. This went on for three hours in the morning and three hours in the evening. And the Emperor would dismiss his court. At the end of five days, the sage said, 'We are now ready for you to leave.'
‘And as the Winter Solstice approached, in the cold of the night, as the sun was shining in the other parts of the world, and as the moon was high, they slipped through the garden of the palace. And each day, at exactly the same time, the old sage would appear in the guise of the Emperor and sit upon his throne. He would sit and listen, as the Emperor was in the forest of K'an learning to deal with people.
It was three days before the Solstice, and the sage must prepare him. He told him what his role was to be. He said, `First you must know that man is like nature. Man is but a cycle, as your world is a cycle. Each thing has its seasons, as man has a cycle of the seasons. This is not only within man, but also within the history of mankind.' He pointed that in time he would be learning of the people who identify with the seasons. And the Emperor was glad. As the Solstice approached, the Elements of Man were revealed. Years later, Emperors later, when the Emperors no longer went into the forest of K'an, these were lost."
When G finished telling the story I felt like I had been on the journey with the Emperor and the sage. I knew in that moment that I would spend the rest of my life working to understand the seasons within man and mankind. The story was alive to me. The elements of Fire, Water, Air and Earth were dancing through the room. The elements within my body were reacting with the elements in the room and elements within the earth. In my own microcosm I was connected with the macrocosm.
This was the beginning of the study of the elements. As the course continued I began to develop my understanding of the elements. There were a number of disciplines which G gave me that allowed a deepening of my understanding of the elements and one in particular that would become a part of my life for the next 28 years. The first discipline was to keep everything I learnt in these sessions to myself. To only discuss it with others who were attending the workshops. This was not done because we needed to keep these teachings a secret. It was because we had such a tenuous grip on their understanding that to discuss them with those who did not understand could cripple the unfolding of the teaching that came from within. We were not to discuss the teachings for a season. I went one step further and did not share any of the teachings for a full year. Looking back I could see that this and my passion for the teachings helped them to continue to develop, even to this day.

Come with me over the next three months, a full season, during which time I will reveal to the beauty and wonder that is the Elements. I bless my old teacher every day for giving me this wonderful gift and although he no longer teaches this course it is a pleasure for me to share these teachings with you.

All that I ask is that while you are studying the Elements that you do not talk about them to anybody who is not also studying them. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly it will take a full season for the concepts to start take root within you and secondly the old teaching of 'those who talk do not know and those that know do not talk.'

If you are excited about the teachings share the link to blog with others as something they may find interesting or buy them a copy of 'The 33rd Sage,' as much of what I will share is in the book. For some the story itself will help them open up to the more spiritual aspects of their life. 'When the student is ready the teacher appears.'

Although the Elements were never meant to be taught in this way, I feel that the changes that are happening on the planet make it more necessary than ever for people to get back in touch with the Elements and nature. It is important for all of us to realign ourselves with the cycles within nature.

I dedicate these blogs to Old Chinese, G, Stuart and Marshal for they were the wonderful teachers who brought the elements alive for me.

Chung Fu, who first shared the story, was the assumed name of the spirit guide of trance medium Marshall N. Lever. It was chosen by the guide from the I Ching, meaning inner truth. His last incarnation was as a student of Chuang Tzu, in China.

Chung Fu discouraged any form of physical phenomenon in his teaching circles. He emphatically pointed out that his teachings and guidance are not the way, but one of the many ways that individuals may take on their journey to Inner Truth. He taught that there must be an unfolding within the individual and an awareness of Inner Truth through meditation and self-discipline. It was during one of his teaching circles that he shared the story of the Sage and the Emperor.

Twenty eight years ago I was suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome when I was first introduced to the teachings of Old Chinese, as Chung Fu was also known, by G. Through the wonderful teachings of G and Old Chinese I was not only able to heal myself but have the strength and the courage to attempt the greatest journey of all: The Quest for Inner Truth.

I have not shared G's full name because he has chosen the way of the silent warrior and I honor and respect him deeply. I am one of the many thankful students that he has taught on his journey. A journey that has touched so many people in such a beautiful way.

The 33rd Sage is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Book Depository, Watersons, Xlibris and a number of online book stores.
