Blessings and Peace

Four days in a row of over 40C or 108+ F and patience was wearing a bit thin, then I started to think about how many people had it far worse off than I did. It makes you wonder how often we live with thoughts of lack rather than with thoughts of the beauty of what we really have.

Taking my dogs for a walk this morning I thought I would honor every person I met, silently, with a 'Blessings and Peace.' I was amazed and a little shocked that I judged every person before I gave them a blessings and peace. After 30 years on my spiritual journey I thought I had a handle on non judgement but I guess not. How quickly we judge others without understanding their life or their journey. As the Native Americans say, 'Walk a mile in their moccasins.'

My wish for 2014 is to continually offer blessings and peace to everyone I meet and hopefully reduce my judgement of others. It would be nice to think that my offers of blessings and peace will in someway give energy and a little bit of me to every person I meet.

Blessings and Peace to you all.
